Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik recently unveiled the Online Incentive Management System (OIMS){OIMS Portal for Entrepreneurs} portal, developed by the Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC), to simplify the application process for entrepreneurs seeking incentives. This portal aims to streamline the submission of applications for incentives under various policies announced by the state government, including those related to information technology, electronics, data centers, BPOs, semiconductor manufacturing, and fables.

According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the OIMS portal offers several advantages over traditional physical submissions. Entrepreneurs can now easily upload their documents, access a single-window portal, benefit from error checks for applications, and receive message alerts. The portal also employs stringent security measures to prevent unauthorized access, ensuring data protection.

Chief Minister Patnaik highlighted the significance of this platform, noting that Odisha is among the first states to establish a faceless incentive management system for the IT/electronics industries through an online platform. He emphasized that the OIMS will simplify the process for companies to avail incentives under the Electronics and IT department’s various policies. “These initiatives are not just about technology; they are about making governance more accessible, transparent, and user-friendly for everyone,” he remarked.

In addition to the OIMS launch, the Chief Minister also inaugurated new district websites developed under the robust ‘Standardised Website Framework’ (SWF), aligning with the state’s transformative 5T initiative. These websites are designed to enhance accessibility and transparency for citizens seeking information about their respective districts.
