Ratan Tata Honored with KISS Humanitarian Award 2021

Chairman of Tata Group, Ratan Tata, was honored with the esteemed KISS Humanitarian Award 2021. The award ceremony took place at his residence in Mumbai on Monday.

Acknowledgment by Professor Achyuta Samanta

During the ceremony, Ratan Tata was felicitated by the founder of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) and Member of Parliament from Kandhamal, Professor Achyuta Samanta. This recognition signifies his dedication towards social development and exemplary corporate leadership.

Presence of Dignitaries

The event was attended by prominent personalities including N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Group, and three-time Grammy Award winner Ricky Kej, among others. The award was presented by Dr. Achyuta Samanta, the founder of KIIT and KISS.

Delayed Presentation Due to COVID-19

The announcement of this award was made in 2021, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ratan Tata was unable to receive the award. In his acceptance, Tata expressed gratitude towards KISS and its founder, Dr. Samanta.

Expressing his happiness, Dr. Samanta stated, “I am extremely pleased to present this award to Ratan Tata. It’s a significant moment in my life. Ratan Tata is a respected name in India, and he is truly a good human being. It’s a privilege for us to honor him today. Ratan Tata’s social work and leadership have inspired me since childhood.”

Tribute from KIIT Students

Among the previous recipients of this prestigious award are a diverse group of global leaders, Nobel laureates, and notable individuals from various fields, who showcase the broad international appeal and recognition of this award. On this occasion, nearly 40,000 students of KIIT expressed their wishes for Ratan Tata’s good health, long life, and disease-free living.
