Arabinda Mohapatra Joins BJD

Arabinda Mohapatra, the son of former minister and senior BJP leader Bijoy Mohapatra, has officially joined the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD). The event took place in the presence of Odisha Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas on Thursday.

Active in Patkura Assembly Constituency

Arabinda has been actively involved in the Patkura Assembly constituency in Kendrapara district for the last two years.

Bijoy Mohapatra’s Political Legacy

Arabinda’s father, Bijoy Mohapatra, holds a significant political legacy in Odisha. He was elected to the Odisha Legislative Assembly from the Patkura constituency four times – in 1980, 1985, 1990, and 1995. Bijoy was also a powerful minister in the Biju Patnaik government during the early 1990s. He is a founding member of the BJD, the party Arabinda has now joined.
