President Draupadi Murmu’s Four-Day Odisha Tour

President Draupadi Murmu begins her four-day journey across Odisha today, marking her presence in various programs in Bhubaneswar, Mayurbhanj, Kendujhar, Berhampur, Cuttack, and Sambalpur. This marks President Murmu’s third visit to Mayurbhanj district since assuming office.

Starting with her hometown of Mayurbhanj, President Murmu will participate in significant events throughout the district during her visit. She is scheduled to arrive at the Sukruli Pandurseel Football Ground by a temporary helipad at 2 PM. The President will first pay her respects at the revered Kichakeshwari Temple, notifying the temple office beforehand via phone call from the presidential residence.

President Murmu will stay in Mayurbhanj for two days, with overnight rest planned at Raairangpur. Local residents are eagerly anticipating her visit, prompting the deployment of 15 platoons of police forces to ensure security in the region.

In the evening, President Murmu will depart for Bhubaneswar, where she will inaugurate a national-level conference on tribal communities at Dharanidhar Vishwavidyalaya, Kendujhar, on February 29. Later at 5:20 PM, she will proceed to Bhubaneswar.

The same day, the President will serve as the chief guest at the 53rd Convocation Ceremony of Utkal University. Following this, she will arrive at the Raj Bhavan at 6:54 PM for overnight accommodation.

Stringent security arrangements have been made from Bhubaneswar to Mayurbhanj for the President’s safety.

On March 1, President Murmu will attend the 25th Convocation Ceremony of Berhampur University in the evening. Additionally, at 4:05 PM, she will participate in the Golden Jubilee Celebration of Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Cuttack.

Departing at 10:10 AM on March 2, President Murmu will arrive at Jharsuguda Airport and proceed to Sambalpur for her final leg of the journey. In Sambalpur, she will visit various sites, including the divine light of Saint Poet Bhima, and meet with followers of the Mahima community at the Sambalpur Mini Stadium.

Given the President’s itinerary, stringent security measures have been implemented from Bhubaneswar to Mayurbhanj to ensure her safety throughout the journey.
