BJD Launches ‘Paribar Sampark Yatra’

by Nita Mishra

The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is set to kick off a significant outreach initiative named ‘Paribar Sampark Yatra’ (family contact drive) starting this Tuesday, coinciding with Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary. The extensive campaign will span the entire state until the birth anniversary of the late Chief Minister Biju Patnaik on March 5.

Party leaders and workers from the BJD will embark on visits to every household, engaging with residents throughout the program’s duration. The primary objective of this outreach is to connect with voters before the formal election campaign commences.

Throughout the yatra, party representatives will engage with each family, discussing their expectations from the government, highlighting welfare measures initiated by the state government over the past years, and addressing any concerns they may have.

A senior party leader mentioned that this initiative serves a dual purpose. Firstly, it allows the ruling party to assess its current strength and gather valuable feedback from citizens across the state. Secondly, it aims to motivate grassroots party workers, fortifying the organization in preparation for both the upcoming Lok Sabha and state Assembly elections. This move is seen as a proactive step by the BJD to connect with the public, understand their needs, and strengthen their political groundwork.
