Naveen Patnaik is all set to open Odisha’s brand new cancer hospital in Bargarh Khedopali District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) on Tuesday. This hospital is the second of its kind in Odisha and boasts a whopping 100 beds spread across five floors. The preparations for the grand opening of this state-of-the-art hospital are now complete.

This hospital is a game-changer for cancer patients. Imagine being able to get top-notch treatment right in your hometown without worrying about hefty medical bills. Well, that’s exactly what this hospital offers. And it’s not just for the folks in Bargarh – people from neighboring Chhattisgarh can also benefit from its services.

The government has poured in a massive Rs 106 crore to build this hospital. It’s equipped with everything needed for top-quality care: two radio oncologists, two medical oncologists, eight GDMOs, and a bunch of other specialists like O&G, ENT, surgery, and medicine experts. Plus, there are technicians, pharmacists, nursing officers, attendants, and support staff – a total of 112 dedicated individuals, including sweepers and security personnel.

No more long trips to Delhi, Mumbai, or Hyderabad for cancer treatment! The inauguration of this hospital is a dream come true for the people of Bargarh and western Odisha. They can now access advanced cancer care right in their own backyard. It’s a huge win for the community and a significant step forward in the fight against cancer.
