Puri Jagannath Temple treasury, the High Court has issued a crucial directive. The court has mandated the appointment of a chairman for the treasury to compile a list of invaluable gold ornaments and other assets. The state government has been instructed to form a high-level committee within the next four weeks.
The High Court stated that it would conduct a hearing on the matter after the lapse of four weeks. During the proceedings of Chief Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh and Justice Savitri Rath’s bench, it was revealed that the High Court had issued orders for the formation of a high-level committee on September 29, 2023. However, this directive has yet to be executed.
