Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Inaugurates Multiple Development Projects

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, through video-conferencing on Monday, marked the inauguration and laying of foundation stones for various development projects across Bolangir, Keonjhar, Khurda, and Boudh districts.

Projects Inaugurated:

  • The renovated Harishankar Temple in Bolangir district.
  • Odisha’s longest flyover, spanning 3 km, in Joda, Keonjhar district, costing Rs 258.78 crore.
  • A 762-meter long railway over-bridge built at Jatni Kudiari in Khurda district for Rs 105 crore.
  • Odisha’s longest bridge, extending 3 km over Mahanadi on Athmallik-Dhalpur road, constructed for Rs 159.31 crore.
  • A 600-meter-long bridge over Tel river, constructed for Rs 45.84 crore.
  • Boudh-Maryakud link road development, costing Rs 71.59 crore.
  • Improvement work of Mahapuru Achutananda Das Peetha in Nemalo, Cuttack district.
  • Construction of a 1738-meter-long river bridge connecting Birmaharajpur road.

5T Initiative for Development

Addressing the program, Chief Minister Patnaik highlighted that these projects, implemented under the 5T initiative, will play crucial roles in tourism and infrastructure development. He emphasized the significance of Harishankar Temple, a major pilgrimage site in Odisha, and how its transformation will enhance services for pilgrims and contribute to the economic development of residents.

Strengthening Cultural Heritage

Patnaik stressed the importance of protecting cultural identity, stating that the foundation stone was laid for the conversion of Sri Sri Achutananda’s Gadi and Peeth in Cuttack district, and Maa Ugratara Peeth in Khurda district. He expressed hope that developing these historical sites will strengthen the emotional bond of the Odia people.

Improving Communication and Infrastructure

Inaugurating the state’s largest flyover in Joda, the railway overbridge in Jatni, and other projects, the Chief Minister highlighted that these initiatives will enhance the communication system and reduce travel time. He attributed the success of these developments to the 5T initiative, which has brought significant transformations in the state’s infrastructure.
