The Odisha government on Friday, August 22, 2026, approved 14 major industrial investment proposals worth Rs 2,780.10 crore at the 149th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) in Bhubaneswar. Among the largest employment-generating proposals is a Rs 251.45 crore readymade garment manufacturing unit for knitted baby and kids wear by Sahana Clothing Company Pvt Ltd in Dhenkanal, expected to create 5,104 jobs. Other approvals include a Rs 125 crore textile processing unit by Pratima Agro Spinning Mill Pvt Ltd in Balangir, expected to employ 400 people.

Three proposals were approved in the chemicals sector. Prasol Chemicals Ltd will invest Rs 450 crore in a phosphorus-based derivatives manufacturing plant in Ganjam, projected to create 458 jobs. New Generation Manufacturing Pvt Ltd will set up a coal-tar distillation and by-products plant in Sundargarh with an investment of Rs 80 crore, generating 301 jobs, while Haasvan Rasayan Pvt Ltd will invest Rs 55 crore in a bulk drug intermediates unit in Nuapada, expected to create 70 jobs.

Other approvals include a Rs 300 crore facility by Syrma SGS Technology Ltd in Khordha for manufacturing printed circuit board assemblies and box-build products, generating around 500 jobs; a Rs 90.94 crore unit by Shree Jagannath Ispat Pvt Ltd in Cuttack for manufacturing colour-coated sheets and related steel downstream products; a Rs 56 crore medical-device manufacturing unit by Sastasundar Healthbuddy Ltd in Khordha; and a Rs 405.35 crore private railway siding project by Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd in Angul district.
