Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed an agreement to develop a Gateway hotel in Sambalpur, Odisha, as a greenfield project. The 125-key hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant and bar, a gym, a swimming pool and more than 10,000 sq ft of banquet space for weddings, social gatherings and business events. The project is a partnership with Shamsher Singh Hura of JAS Group. Suma Venkatesh, IHCL’s Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, cited Sambalpur’s growing business and tourism demand as the reason for the development.
