Sundargarh, Odisha — A nine-seater Cessna Grand C208B aircraft, operated by India One Air, crashed in an open field near Kansor, approximately 15–20 km short of Rourkela, on Saturday. The plane, bearing registration VT-KSS, was flying from Bhubaneshwar to Rourkela when it encountered technical difficulties shortly after take-off.
Background
The aircraft had six people on board, including two pilots and four passengers. The flight crew detected the issue and issued a “Mayday” call. The pilots executed a forced landing at around 1:20 pm IST. The district administration responded promptly, shifting the injured to Rourkela’s medical facilities. Three passengers are being treated at J.P. Hospital, while two pilots and another passenger are at RGH, Rourkela. No casualties have been reported, and all are receiving medical treatment.
